Home/Uganda Tours/Uganda Primates and Wildlife Photo Safaris

When planning for tours in Uganda – the primate and wildlife photo safari is a special experience! Long days, many animals, changing weather, variable geography and differing environments all offer excellent opportunities for great photography experience. We focus on providing you with the most unique, memorable, and personalized photo holidays tailored to your individual needs.

We understand that everyone has different interests and travelers want the freedom to make their great adventure everything they want it to be.  It is only your schedule we have to honour as you personally design your safari and honour your pace. When that moment comes, we will ensure that there is nobody else standing in front of you! Each primate lover will be guaranteed a dedicated row on each game drive or boat launch to ensure you have the optimum access to every photographic opportunity.

A dedicated primate photo safari allows guests to spend as much time as they need to get the shots they desire. Great flexibility on deciding which locations to visit and how long to stay at each site will be made by us as a group whenever possible. If guests want to spend the entire day out in the field to get that one shot, we will do everything we can to make sure you do not come back until you get it.

This is a once in a lifetime safari that brings together two must do activities, trekking the endangered mountain gorillas and chimpanzees of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Kibale Forest National Park known for the Chimpanzee Habituation Experience and trekking holidays and both are the major activities to experience in Kibale Forest National Park and costing $ 220 USD and $ 150 USD respectively.

Gorilla trekking/habituation experience in Uganda is a must active holiday that all travelers to Uganda enjoy and a gorilla trek cost $ 600 USD high season and $ 450 USD low season (April, May & November) every year and the Habituation cost $ 1500 USD and this experience takes 4 hours with the gorillas in the mist at the Rushaga sector and each group is visited by 4 tourists per day.

In addition to our primate excursions, we will be observing herds of game travel across the rolling Savannah of Western Uganda and see many other species of wildlife such as lion, leopard, elephant, and rhino. Our expedition will traverse the western edge of the Great Rift Valley, known as the Albertine Rift Valley. Our route will take you in Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park (“QENP”), and finally Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (“BINP”).

Our dedicated primate safaris are not only reserved for experienced and skilled photographers. Anyone who wants to travel to Uganda and return with a collection of rewarding and memorable photographs and knowledge will get a great deal from our safaris. The day spent tracking the Mountain Gorillas, restrictions have to be followed. As time spent with the gorillas is restricted to only one hour per visit, each primate lover will have one opportunity to visit the mountain gorillas getting breath-taking photographs with these majestic animals.
