Mountain gorillas’ inhabit is limited to protected National parks in two regions of Africa. One group of gorillas lives in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. The other group is spread over three national parks in the Virungas massif region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (Virunga National Park), Uganda (Mgahinga National Park), and Rwanda (Volcanoes National Park). Many of them dwell on the inactive volcanoes such as Muhavura, Mgahinga, Sabyinyo, Visoke, Mikeno as well as Karisimbi. Although the gorillas’ home is mountainous, they don’t often climb over 13,00oft, they always avoid the lowland areas between the volcanoes. Gorillas spend most of their time feeding and so they easily spotted in the Hagenia forests, bamboo forests along with the subalpine areas.
